Currently we depend on VirtualBox Version 4.0.10. Newer Versions (4.1.X) do not work with Browser in the Box. Between the Versions 4.0 and 4.1 of VirtualBox, the interfaces of VirtualBox changed. We are currently upgrading Browser in the Box to the new interfaces and will support the new version of VirtualBox as soon as the system runs stable.
Some virus scanners register and monitor certain files being created during
an installation process. Our installation process intentionally modifies the file
"VBoxSharedClipboard.dll" in hindsight. As this is an unusual process virus
scanners might create warnings. It might be necessary to define an exception
for this file within the virus scanner configuration in order to use the
Secure Clipboard.
Our product relies on VirtualBox. This program installs drivers causing those security warnings. We regret that Oracle seems to have omitted the driver certification with Microsoft. Yet we have carefully analyzed VirtualBox and haven’t found any security concern. You can install "Browser in the Box" nevertheless.
USAGE
This option can be configured during installation (or via the management console in the Enterprise Edition). The virtual machine providing our guest operating system comes with a “shared folder”. This folder will store the bookmarks besides other browser configuration data persistently. Thus you can use bookmarks just normally.
Files can be downloaded as usual. "Browser in the Box" will store such file first internally within the guest VM and then take care for a virus check and then move the file into the download folder of the normal user.Under Linux: /home/<username>/DownloadsUnder Windows: as configured during installationMore info is provided in the QuickGuide.
This is an option that can be configured during installation (or via the management console in the Enterprise Edition). Right click the file you want to upload and select "Send To", "Browser In The Box Upload". Then the file is accessible in the browser in the "Upload" folder.
Please study the QuickGuide on this behalf.
This is caused by the specific method of secure printing. A background process has to monitor the end of the respective browser and Adobe processes which write print files page by page. An additional delay is required to ensure that all print data is ready.
Via the start menu, all programs, search for the folder "Browser in the Box" and select "Browser in the Box_kill"
