Asterisk is a powerful Open-Source Telefony system, providing conventional interfaces as well as supporting Voice-over-IP services. The system is originally written by Mark Spencer at Digium, Inc. and now developed as Open Source. The software runs under OS GNU/Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD and Mac OS X (>= Jaguar).
