Licence Agreement

The Sirrix.PCI ISDN Card Series driver package and driver update contain a firmware file (Object Code) which is automatically loaded to the Octasic OCT61xx Echo Cancellation chip embedded on the Sirrix.PCI ISDN Card hardware. The licence applies to this Object Code.

Restrictions on Use

The Licensee (You) acknowledges that the Object Code represents an important asset of Octasic’s and that any unauthorized use by the Licensee, or by any other Person, could cause significant damage to Octasic’s business.

Accordingly, the Licensee agrees that it shall not, for any purpose:

• use the Object Code with any hard- or software other than the Sirrix.PCI ISDN Card series
• attempt to modify the Object Code
• attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, reverse assemble, reverse compile or in any other manner attempt to derive source code or other Confidential Information from the Object Code
• license or distribute the Object Code in conjunction with any computer software, firmware or hardware that enables or permits any use of the Object Code, or any portion of it, other than the limited uses expressly permitted herein

The Licensee shall take all reasonable precautions to prevent third parties, including its third party manufacturers and customers, from using the Object Code in any way that would constitute a breach of this Agreement including, without limitation, taking such precautions as the Licensee would otherwise take to protect its own proprietary Object Code.
